WSA offers CANSail-accredited summer camps for kids and teens, as well as adult courses and racing clinics for our members. We are looking for passionate and experienced instructors to lead both our sailing and wing foiling programs, helping students develop their skills while fostering a love for being on the water.
WSA is located on Alta Lake in Whistler, BC, beneath Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain. Alta Lake acts as a funnel from notoriously windy Squamish, resulting in a regularly timed thermal wind hitting WSA shores every day. It’s very rare for sailing or wing foiling to be canceled due to lack of wind.

Sailing
Instructor
WSA is always looking for mature and experienced individuals to run the Kids & Youth Sailing Camps and Adult programs for the season. Candidates will have:

Sail Canada certified or equivalent (courses available in Vancouver)

Have experience teaching sailing to adults and/or kids
-
Hold a current Emergency First Aid with CPR certification (i.e. through St. John’s Ambulance, Red Cross, etc.) or equivalent
-
Valid Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC) and hold an authorized boat rescue certificate
-
Demonstrates qualities including (but not limited to): safety awareness, flexibility, time management, and leadership

We're Hiring: Wing Foiling Instructor
Location: Whistler Sailing Association – Alta Lake, Whistler, BC
Seasonal Position | Training Provided | Join Our Growing Team!
Whistler Sailing Association (WSA) is excited to expand our team with passionate and adventurous individuals to help launch and grow our Wing Foiling program. While certified wing foiling instructors are rare, we welcome applicants with strong wing foiling skills and a passion for teaching.
Don’t have wing foiling teaching experience? No problem — WSA will provide training for the right candidate. Previous experience teaching sailing, watersports, or any sport is a strong asset, as is comfort operating a motorboat.
Ideal candidates will have:

Intermediate to Advanced wing foiling skills

Experience teaching adults and youth, ideally in wind or water sports

Strong communication and leadership abilities

A passion for outdoor education and community engagement
Required certifications (or willing to obtain prior to start):
