Turn Your Passion into a Profession

What is the WFIC?

  • Wing Foil Instructors of Canada (WFIC) is a national initiative designed to create the first structured training and certification pathway for professional wing foiling instructors in Canada.

  • WFIC supports the growth of recreational wing foiling by ensuring students receive high-quality, safe, and standardized instruction from professionally trained instructors. This is a recreational teaching stream, not a competitive racing program.

  • Wing foiling is currently the fastest-growing windsport, and WFIC exists to support and guide its development across the country.

Where Are We Based?

  • WFIC was founded at the Whistler, British Columbia, with the goal of expanding to certified centers across Canada’s lakes, rivers, and coastal communities.

When Are We Launching?

  • The first official WFIC Instructor Certification Clinic (Pilot Program) will launch in June 2025, with scheduled training blocks in early and mid-June.
