This past weekend, Whistler Sailing hosted the 14th Annual Whistler Regatta, welcoming sailors from across BC to Alta Lake. Competitors came ready for a weekend of fun, challenge, and community on the water.

The heat of the weekend delivered north winds, giving us light racing conditions. Depending on the fleet, sailors completed 7 to 8 races. Unfortunately, the wind did not cooperate for the Wing Slalom event.

We’d like to extend a big thank you to all of the clubs who joined us - it was wonderful to connect with both old friends and new faces in our sailing community. A special shoutout goes to our Race Officer, Rob Woodbury, for joining us once again and ensuring smooth racing on the water. A heartfelt thank you as well to our sponsors, Nesters Market for keeping our team fuelled, and Rekord Marine for supporting this event.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible volunteers who powered the regatta behind the scenes from race committee to shore support. Your hard work made this event a success!
