Whistler Sailing is bringing the wind to life this weekend on Alta Lake with not one, but two thrilling events that celebrate the best of sailing and wing foiling.
Wing Foil Slalom – Saturday, August 23 (Evening)
Kicking things off, the Wing Foil Slalom returns with fast-paced action and a unique downwind zig-zag course. Riders will start around 5:00–5:30pm, weather permitting, and carve their way across the lake in a test of speed, agility, and style.

Annual Whistler Regatta – August 23 & 24
All weekend long, Alta Lake will also be alive with the energy of the Annual Whistler Regatta. This tradition brings together racers, volunteers, and community supporters for two full days of competitive sailing and lakeside camaraderie. Racing fleets this year include: ILCA 7, ILCA 6, ILCA 4, Optimist (White/Blue/Red), 420s, RS Feva, X-Class, and Pirates. Whether you’re in the skipper’s seat, volunteering on shore, or cheering from the beach, there’s a way for everyone to be part of the action.

A Community Celebration on the Water
The Wing Foil Slalom and Whistler Regatta highlight what makes summer in Whistler special: wind, water, and community. From foilers zig-zagging down the course to sailors lining up for their starting signals, the weekend promises high energy and plenty of reasons to gather by the lake.
We invite everyone—racers, volunteers, and spectators alike—to join us in celebrating the wind this weekend!
