The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) has launched a Parks and Valley Trail Strategy Survey to gather community feedback that will help guide improvements and priorities for the next decade and beyond. This is a key opportunity for Whistler Sailing members and the broader sailing community to ensure that the unique role of Whistler Sailing on Alta Lake is recognized and considered in future plans.

We encourage you to:

✅ Highlight how sailing contributes to the vibrancy and active use of our parks and trails

✅ Encourage your friends and contacts to do the same

Some ideas to include in your responses:

⚓ The importance of accessible water-based recreation at Alta Lake

⚓ The role of the sailing association in providing programs for kids, youth, and adults

⚓ The value and community-building that sailing fosters

⚓ The RMOW can show its ongoing support for sailing by prioritizing improvements at Whistler Sailing (Cypress Park/The Point), including maintaining and enhancing buildings and facilities to meet the needs of the sailing community.
